We owe taxes every single year. I write them a big old check on top of what we’ve already paid all year. So the IRS has no bank info on us. We got a debit card the other day. Last time they sent us a check.
The debit cards are real. I transferred all the money off it into our personal account online.
Wouldn't you think it would cost more to use debit cards than paper checks or electronic checks?
Speaking of taxes. The election for my Congressional District (NY-22nd) hasn't been decided yet. It could take months because it's tied up in court. They've been going over, one-by-one, approximately 2500 discarded absentee ballots. So at this time, I don't have any representation in Congress. The seat sits empty. I'm thinking of stirring up trouble, and demanding a refund of all the Federal taxes I've paid between my pension and Social Security, since November 3rd, because "no taxation without representation." Too bad I couldn't get the rest of the people in this district to do the same thing.
