Everyone ready for Patriot Act 2.0?

1/6/2021 will not pass without some legislation further rmpowering the state and controlling the peasants. Also, AWS (Parler host), has all IDs for members just like Twitter can produce it for everyone who has followed realDonaldTrump. The surveillance state is not an illusion.

For what it’s worth, the Stasi collected between 900 million and 1 billion pages of information during its 40 year existence. NSA/CIA collect that much every two days. The Stasi were complete pikers compared to what we have today. They never dreamed of the kind of universal surveillance that we live under. It’s unAmerican and Snowden was a hero.

Who knew that all of that convenience right in the palm of our hands would be used to control us?

Back in the 70s, when I was in high school and college, I listened to a lot of shortwave radio. Part of the hobby was to write reception reports to the stations, which would then acknowledge the report with a QSL card. Some of the stations would also send magazines and other souvenirs from their country. I wrote to all of the ones I heard, including Moscow, Peking, Prague, Havana. I never bought their propaganda, but a lot of the programming was not propaganda and it was a great educational experience for me. The sentiment among shortwave listeners at the time that an interesting and innocent hobby probably resulted in the FBI having a file on us. I guess there is truly nothing new under the sun.

With all the cameras everywhere it has never been easier to ID you.

Anyone with a recently renewed license photo has been biometrically scanned in, Real ID, if your neighbors don’t turn you in first.

No place to run, no place to hide
