The vaccine has been contraindicated by the Indian government for anyone under 18, as well as anyone with a pre-existing condition such as heart problems or diabetes. For the rest, it will apparently be voluntary, and costs about Rs1000 to get it.
The reason for that may be that the vaccine could cause the heart or diabetes patient’s immune system to attack own cells.
