“Probably the words “child abuse” got it flagged as a possible “Q” post if I had to guess.”

But, the words, “child abuse”, are prominently in the article itself. From the article:

“Female genital mutilation is child abuse,”

So, if that is okay for the article, why is it not allowed in the comments?

The comment moderation algorithms are not going to be article-specific. They are going to apply the same algorithm across the whole website, no matter what the content of the article is. So if they are looking to flag possible Q/pizzagate posts with words like “child abuse” in them, then they will get flagged even if they are made on an article where the topic is child abuse.

TLDR: algorithms don’t usually do subltety.
