A couple of months ago a Freeper posted links to Conservative sites...OAN, Newsmax, Bongino, etc. My hard drive fried and I lost everything and want to get that post again. I THINK the Freeper name had Lion, or maybe Tiger in it. Any help you can give me would be truly appreciated.
You can get your hard drive recovered from multiple services.
A great FR profile page with much of what you are requesting is here:

Did you post a comment on that thread a couple of months ago? If you did I would go back through your posts until you found the thread.
Is this you?
Or bear.
Oh my.
I hope you get that link.
I do not believe it was me.
I do link to Newsmax and others but I can't say I have any links saved for posting on FR.
Sorry!
Here is Newsmax though.
I had a remote hard crash and all it had on it was EVERYTHING that was mine - data/documents/video/spreadsheets/pdfs/images/lists of hundreds of urls/TV & radio programs - nearly a terrabyte of stuff.
I found an outfit that was able to recover everything on the old drive and put it on a new drive for me.
It was not cheap.
Let me know if you want to try them out.
Thanks for sharing that link. It’s really good.
Newsmax is no longer on the Apple App store.
Website is still active though
You can buy a cradle type of thing that you plug your hard drive in and sometimes recover info from there. I had a laptop crash and bought one but was not able to get anything.
I am also very fond of an app on my iPhone called Conservative News - still available as of now.
They have newsfeeds from all the major conservative sites. In settings, you can pick which news sites you wish to receive and the headline from that site will appear in your feed. It’s updated constantly.
I get World Net Daily, Daily Wire, Gateway Pundit, Breitbart and Epoch Times, but there are many many more to choose from. It’s great when I’m traveling - and the only thing on in the airport is CNN (which is changing, I understand).
Yes...my computer guy suggested I get one which I will when I have a hundred dollars that’s not already spoken for.
Thank you. I’m all set up now with a new hard drive. I lost everything, but since I’m a very senior citizen, it really doesn’t matter when I thought about it. I just use e-mail, check out the news, and listen to talk radio/podcasts.
I’m back in business. Thank you all for your help and good ideas.
Excellent!
Thanks for posting that.
I understand.
Even though I did get my data back - and it did mean a lot to me - I had a sanguine attitude about maybe not getting it restored.
Here in my 70s, like you, I feel that some things just are not all that important in the end. Thirty years ago I likely would have had more anxiety about the situation. Now, so much more is “c’est la vie” , que sera, sera.
I have a Favorites folder called “Free Republic” where I put a link to all the threads that I want to keep. When you get a new computer and load your browser there is an option where you can import your favorites - so you never really lose it.
You are so right! I knew AOL saved my e-mail addresses, but was jumping for joy when I discovered they had my Favorite list too. I’ll do what you suggest and make a Free Republic file. Thanks.
Check Amazon. I know, I hate using them but you can get one cheaper than a hundred. Around 30-50 bucks.
