In 1993 I took a supervisor class and one of the main concepts that they were teaching was that perception is reality. The whole notion drove me nuts and I railed against them teaching this as fact. Just because somebody perceives something does not mean that it is real people’s perceptions can be jaded or they can be extremely Rosy when neither are necessarily the case.
I didn’t win the debate because the instructors know everything of course. There really was no way to win a debate where I was logically shredding one of the companies’ main precepts.
