It’s an Android device without Google software on it. A carrier would only see the IMEI of the phone, it wouldn’t be able to tell what OS it’s running or who built it.

Used to work with this guy few years back, he fixed it for me.
Took him couple of day, but he figured it out! comes on as Slim6. can't remember what the original loads like.
