Yep, nothing says ‘loyal supporter of the President’ than abandoning him in his hour of need.
So are you the typical ‘life-long Republican’ seminar caller - re: Rush L. ?
You probably turn tail and run at the first sign of any trouble. All the while stabbing your team mates in the back.
Stand Strong.
Stand Firm.
Support the President and the House Republicans !

Would NOT be surprised if Trump becomes an independent after the 20th.
To: Pikachu_Dad
If you could change your party affiliation to TRUMP PARTY, then yes, I would like to change. But to change to independent as of now would be abandoning the president.

Yep, nothing says ‘loyal supporter of the President’ than abandoning him in his hour of need.If you haven't noticed its beyond party lines right now. The GOP is not my "teammates".
I will follow George Washington whereas “interest and duty of wise people to discourage and restrain the spirit of the party”

There will be a massive difference between the parties in both the House and the Senate when it comes to this impeachment vote. During last year's impeachment, not a single Democrat voted to acquit on either count. In contrast, every single Republican voted to acquit, except for Romney who voted to convict one one count.
The contrast between the two parties is immense, even if the squishy ones on the margine sometimes abandon us.

You wrongly accuse me. Don't need an R by my name to support my president. It is more crucial that I send a message to his alleged party. YMMV. You do what makes sense in your situation & location.
