So I had an understanding that the local Academy Sports received its trucks on Mondays and Wednesdays so I headed over there this morning to stand in line to purchase some ammo.
The manager of the store came out and told us that the truck is due in tomorrow (Thursday) and that he has no ammo today.
THEN, he said that tomorrow's truck will be the last ammo resupply for him for several weeks. He said that ammo production has been halted as of last Friday (January 8th) due to two reasons : a couple of sources stopped due to COVID, but most have stopped due to an EO that has not been made public.
Anyone here heard of this?
Sounds like conspiratorial BS to me. I’ve always known Academy trucks to arrive on Thursdays (at least in TX). I don’t believe for second their is an EO to shot down ammo production. We’d be hearing directly from the manufacturers.

No ammo in Kingman. A friend who was just there who picks it up for me when he is that said no 7.62, 5.56 or.223. And no 30-30 or 30.06

I recall reading backorders for ammo at some sites extend past the end of 2021.
The government can put a DX hold on and prioritize any item that want in the name of a National Defense.
Pres. Trump would never issue such an order. But you know Dopey Joe and the ho are champing at the bit to do so. Stock up any way you can.

The local gun store (who sells ammo at very fair prices when he has it) told me he does not expect supply to get back to normal until Summer 2022. He never mentioned any EO though. He blames demand, materials shortages and manufacturing. Ammo orders from LE get priority.
If you can afford it, you can still buy ammo online — for now.
Anyone who did not start stocking up when BOTH parties abrogated the Constitution by swearing in the ineligible Kenyan from Indonesia is a fool.
This is just a supply/demand issue. Unfortunately it has been ongoing and I wish somehow production could increase.
On AmmoSeek.com, the cheapest 22LR available is 40 cents per round. That is insane!
BS. There is just a huge demand for ammo.
Trump is still POTUS. Biden might do an order like that but not Trump.
I advised people to stock up.
