People who have been convicted of certain crimes, certain types of crimes, should be denied firearms for life. OK, this one I am kind of torn on. If someone commits a crime and does prison time (no parole, no time off, etc) and fulfills their debt to society, I see no reason that their rights should not be fully reinstated. Now, if the crime was so heinous, or the person is so morally bankrupt that they have proven they are still a threat, we need to ask why wasn't capital punishment applied or why is this person being allowed out of prison to begin with?

Either they are in prison or not. Once they have done their time, they should have the same rights as any other citizen. If they are a danger to society, then something needs to be done to work on the punishment side of things.
