I have seen this list of hyperlinks posted elsewhere on FreeRepublic as if that means one can just pick-up the phone or place an easy online order.
Every local gunshop near my home has completely barren shelves. No ammo at all available for purchase. Not even with simultaneous firearm purchase.

Three of them near me have many hundreds of guns available for rental. You can shoot any of them, as long as it is a .22 LR rimfire. That's it.
A trio of successful multi-million dollar facilities with no inventory. Glad you miraculously experienced good fortune with your ammo shopping.

That’s my list, compiled since 9-11. I’ve shared it on FR for years. You have to do some shopping, get on the “Notify Me When it’s Available” (depending on your caliber), and grab it quickly after notification from the website(s).
