The media hides it but, on January 6, there was a huge and peaceful rally on the Mall, and it had nothing to do with and did not contribute to events at the Capitol.
The Save America Rally, sponsored by Women For America First, was a totally separate happening from what took place inside the Capitol building. We’re still waiting for the media to figure that out. Yawn. Even so, they’re too biased to be honest and truthful enough to report the distinction so others around the world can know the difference, too. Trump was right when he exclaimed in his rally address that the biggest enemy of the country is the media. Our so-called “eyes” and “ears” are neither.
My brother and I arrived in D.C. at 8:30 a.m. and parked a few blocks north of the Capitol
SNIP
We were in a perfect position at that corner and part of the growing crowd. We could look behind us down Madison Drive and the Mall, down Pennsylvania Avenue and we had a completely clear view to the Capitol building. We stood along some crowd control fences, the type of metal bars that look like bicycle racks.
The people around us were so interesting and the scene was so great that we stayed put. Plus, we had a straight path toward the parking garage by the Hyatt. I recall looking all around the pool at the people, at the General Grant statue, back toward the Mall. Again, we didn’t see any gallows and noose.
We deduced that the crowd way upfront at the Capitol was in place long before we arrived at the place we stopped. The people up in the Capitol crowd couldn’t have also been at the Save America rally.

[Editor’s note: This may be the longest piece ever published at American Thinker in over a decade. We’re publishing it because it is the most detailed eyewitness report we’ve received primarily about the peaceful part of the rally, including the walk to the Capitol. The media has almost aggressively ignored these facts. Also, the level of detail matters because multiple people are trying to piece together events to determine how the entirety of January 6 played out. Stick with it. It’s fascinating and important.]
You know the truth. I know the truth. It’s too late to reason with these commies. Sooner or later something like this was bound to happen. So let’s get it on.
Assaults at the capitol occurred 30 min before Trump finished speaking.
Do we really think people who waited in the rain overnight, would leave before he finished speaking?
Trump was also 30 min late in arriving to speak.
It was choreographed ahead of time and not well coordinated.
I expect that Antifa has purchased a large amount of wearable Trump memorabilia for their foot-soldiers to put on at any large gatherings, before they start trouble. Someday in the near future, we will be arrested for owning any Trump memorabilia, because of what Antifa did or are going to do while wearing it.

I like that. Short, truthful, impactful and a good balance of candor and tact.
As I remember it he was almost an hour late.....
....I was still hanging on his every word AFTER one o’clock
From our Fox ‘window’ we could see the hearing begin, and Pence start talking
Meanwhile President Trump has the Rally folks attention......they were hanging on every word
There were at least 1/2 million or more Rally folks,
....but they’re all being Called domestic terrorists
The media knows and has been given a heads up. Some likely at the rally under cover. It’s about a excuse to get Trump out of the 2024 race, then it will be about guns. I am surprised antifa did not bring guns.
Raheem Kassan at National Pulse, and also on War Room, put together a very good timeline.

Excellent article. The media did not cover the entire event, only what suited them.
If Trump had said the things they say he did there would be video running 24/7 to prove it.
Instead they are removing all evidence.
That’s what I would do, if I were them.
They are evil, but their leaders are very clever.
Do we really think people who waited in the rain overnight, would leave before he finished speaking?
Lots of people left to go to the Capitol before President Trump finished speaking.
The entry into the Capitol by protestors happened about 2:40 p.m.
It was almost entirely peaceful at the Capitol until about 1:p.m.
The woman who was shot and killed, Ashli Babbitt, was one of the first ones into the Capitol. She is on video walking down the Mall toward the Capitol, talking about how wonderful President Trump's speech was.
Let's not dispute clear facts.
It’s beyond evil that the media and both parties in the United States Congress could destroy a President with such lies and get away with it. Get away with taking away our First Amendment rights. I can’t believe this is happening. Sad to say, but the country should just Balkanize at this point. Have two governments. Pick a side.

After reading this excellent first hand account, I clicked over to Wikipedia to see if I could find an official crowd size estimate for Trump's speech.
No luck.
But the official Wikipedia narrative on the Capitol incursion is the most biased and deceitful essay I have read in a long time.

I was there, up near the Washington Monument.
The audio was so bad, I could not understand a thing.
On my way to the Capitol, there were a couple of people streaming the speech through their phones, into small, portable speakers.
The timeline and assumptions they put forward are simply wrong.
I was there.
There were many protestors at the Capitol long before President Trump finished his speech.
The audio at the Washington monument was so bad I could not understand what was being said.
The "outer perimeter" was a flimsy fence a 10 year old could have defeated with one hand. It was about 3 feet tall.
People were pushing past it by 1 p.m.
Actual entry to the Capitol by protestors happened about 2:40, as close as I can tell.
The Capitol police were completely overwhelmed. They were outnumbered hundreds, if not thousands to one.
The great mass of protestors never got close to the Capitol, and did not know what was going on right at the Capitol. There were simply too many of them to get close or know what was happening at the doors to the Capitol.
