This fundraising email was either complete stupidity or it is a research effort. The RNC has decades of email fundraising data. When they send out an email blast they can project the response rate from past data based on who they are sending to, what kinds of messages the receiver responds to, and how frequently the receiver responds.
The RNC knows a large segment of the voter base is outraged and they need to understand how bad is the damage. Telephone polls will give an indication but there are significant problems with phone research. However, direct messaging with a request for money has a very predictable outcome. Let’s say they project a 3% response rate normally from this type of email campaign. If they get 90% of the expected response rate they will think things aren’t too bad. If they get 30% of the expected response rate they will be concerned.
They will continue to run an email campaign every few days to a select set of predictable respondents. If the response rate begins to improve every week it will indicate the anger is subsiding. If the response rate stays level, or keeps declining they will know they need to take action and will move from concerned to panic mode.
Consider though that if the drop in the response rate is less than 10%, they will likely conclude this is something they can wait out. Over time the base has always come back after being angry (i.e. after they failed to repeal O’care). If the response rate drops considerably, and stays down for a couple of months, the GOP establishment will be in panic mode.
I expect today they are concerned but not in panic mode. History has always shown the base returns to the fold. At this point they are comfortable that history will repeat itself.

Support the GOP? No. I will support specific candidates, some of whom may or may not be GOP. None will be Democrat. I wouldn’t vote (D) for dog catcher even if he or she was running unopposed. But the GOP has lost me. They chose to play power games rather than support the best person to oppose the un-American and anti-American democrats. In no small part thanks to their short-sightedness and self interests we are now going to be saddled with a fascist, over-reaching, illegal administration. Eff you RINOs. Every. Single. One.

I have read down this thread. The doom and gloom pessimists here on FreeRepublic are in and of themselves depressing.
I agree with your response and I and my entire family will do the same. The Doom and Gloom, I GIVE UP, LOSERS on FreeRepublic are as dead to me as are the RINO’s. If you Love this Country you DO NOT give up. You buckle down. You steel your resolve and YOU FIGHT! Or, to use a Biblical Phrase, “you gird your loins”.
The biblical story that has and does have the most PROFOUND effect on me is the God Fearing woman and her boys. They were Tortured. Their tongues ripped out. And, then BOILED IN OIL. Yet, each one proclaimed their belief in God Almighty to the bitter end. Not one capitulated and denounced their God. That Biblical account of FAITH has never left me.

I still donate $1 or $2 per year so that I end up on their list of donors. They call me and I refuse to donate further, saying that I choose candidates which are conservative and donate to them. Also, I end up getting called for polls far more often when I donate than when I do not.
Not with Dominion Voting Machines still uncollected, still widely in use. No. Then they act ‘surprised’ about the outcome in Georgia? No. The GOP shows no pattern of learning from it’s (purposeful) oversights and mistakes.
I may as well hand the money directly to people like Stacey Abrams.

I’ve had 6 separate text messages yesterday and today. Asking for a donation after they ask if I support the GOP. My response was “I support President Trump. Not the GOP who betrayed him”. I am beyond livid. 🤬
Then another message asking to support to get the Senate back. I just replied, “it won’t matter anyway, the democrats will cheat.”

My position is kill the Republican Party first.
It’s within our power now, will result in no real difference in the near or long term condition of what is already a ruined country turned fascist, and it’s a good start...more difficult tasks will follow.
I can’t wait until I get a request for donations in the mail that has a postage paid envelope to send it in.
Please take a long walk off a short pier. The RNC allowed the Electoral Fraud to happen.
