Some Republicans have called for a commission to investigate the 2020 election. There might be bipartisan support for an investigation of one specific aspect: the use of vulnerable electronic voting machines.
In 2019, four Democratic Senators sounded the alarm – https://www.klobuchar.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/2019/3/senators-demand-to-know-why-election-vendors-still-sell-voting-machines-with-known-vulnerabilities – about security flaws in the machines of the major manufacturers, including Dominion. Republicans have also been pointing to a letter later in 2019 in which a different group of Democrats addressed the issue. That letter was touted by conservative sources – https://www.westernjournal.com/revealed-klobuchar-warren-sent-letter-warning-dominion-election-tech-2019/ and https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2020/11/13/flashback-democrats-warned-of-voting-machines-switching-votes-last-year-n1143044 – after November 3.
One question I have is: Who could be appointed to such a commission? Whose conclusions would be trusted by Democrats and Trump supporters and never-Trump Republicans? No, Josh Hawley and Sean Hannity wouldn't qualify, any more than AOC and Michael Moore would. Some former federal judges or U.S. Attorneys? Everyone would ask which President appointed them, and half the country would dismiss them as biased because they were identified with the "wrong" party.
I wanted to get the ball rolling by making some suggestions, but I honestly can't think of a single name.
So help me out, FRiends. Whom do you like who might be acceptable to our opponents? Who from their ranks would be acceptable to you?
There is certain to be bipartisan support for sweeping the whole thing under the rug.
Do it thru private organizations and file a whole bunch of Freedom of Information Act requests to start. Then get people come on board as you gain steam.
Any unsatisfactory conclusions will be suppressed.
Forget it. It can’t be done now. They own all of government.
exactly- the time for doing it was before biden inauguration- doing it later is meaningless, because we can never have fair elections again because the left have learned that the courts will not fight very hard to prove the elections were false- The left own the courts
If people are SERIOUS about election fraud, they will look at rapid mail-in voting expansion in most states, severely corrupt and inaccurate voter rolls, illegal ballot-harvesting, non-existent chain-of-control, meddling by leftist courts to ensure NO standards existed, and late-counting and late reporting in most urban, Democratic districts.
This is very clearly how Wisconsin, Georgia, Nevada, and Michigan were flipped, and how states like California and New York are concentrating one-party rule.
Anything else like “the kraken,” dominion servers, etc… is just a wild goose chase designed to distract from the real problem.
Whatever happened to Jovan Pulitzer who claimed to be able to forensically identify fraudulent ballots, and could test half a million ballots in a matter of a couple of hours?
I thought both GA and PA were using his services to validate their elections?
What’s the status?
You will discover in 2022 that the electronic control of the vote totals IS the tool your Republic died under.
The standard dodge of the blue ribbon commission.
With WHAT POWER? The power to remove the president and VP if they were found to have won by FRUAD? To imprison perperators?
Without real teeth, this is tilting at windmills.
I predict that, if such a commission were ever formed, conclusions would be along the lines of, that they found some minor problems, but not enough to have changed the election outcome.
That way, they would have us believe that the election was clean overall, and that minor glitches or human error happen sometimes. That way, they will have us believe it was a thorough investigation, due to them finding and identifying certain specific problems. And the purpose of that is to make us believe it was not a whitewash investigation.
But the bottom line will be that Biden won the election, in spite of problems, and that we need not worry any longer about election security.
If Trump wanted a Commission (I do) he could appoint one, or instruct his acting AG to do it. Why not? I don’t notice any of the self-appointed watchdogs of democracy stepping up to the plate. In fact, as the WAPO points out, Democracy dies in Darkness! (and you can count on MSM to turn out the lights.)
Too little, too late?
