In a way, the world right now feels like it is headed for the world in fiction like “The Man in the High Tower”. I only watched the first few episodes of that so I may be off base. I’m talking more about the lifestyle of the average American and the freedom they did not have, but the fear they DID have.
You’re right on the mark. TMITHT is a conditioning scheme by the CIA (get enough people used to the idea as a fiction and confirmation bias takes over). I’m only partly joking about that.
