Why does his faith or fidelity stop him from using foul language? Does a person not go to heaven if he uses foul language? I’ve always wondered about that. Is there a scorekeeper somewhere?
It gives unbelievers an excuse to reject Christ. “If he is a Christian and talks like me, I don’t need to be saved.”
I have sometimes wondered the same thing. Sometimes I have been accused of being a potty mouth but it is always by those who disagree with me. It’s a way of them controlling us.
Jesus used extremely harsh language against His critics, calling them Unmarked
Tombs, snakes, and “sons of Satan”. It doesn’t get more aggressive than that, in the first century.
So was Christ being unChristlike while He was forming a whip to get rid of scum from the Temple? Amazingly, pearl clutching wokescolds never have an answer to that question.
