My husband knows to turn it up high when it comes on our playlist. I got to see Walsh a few years ago as the opener for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Superb show all the way around!
It always reminds me of being a kid and wandering through an old huge drainage pipe with my slightly older brother, near our back yard. When there was a bit of water in it, you could hit the sides of the metal with a stick and it would sound like that song. At least in my kid’s mind, that what it reminds me of. Ahh, the good ole days when you could run around a little neighborhood and not get into much trouble. Play until dark in the summer. Kids these days don’t get to have that kind of adventurous homemade innocent fun.
I saw Joe Walsh with his original group, the James Gang. It was 1969 when they played at my high school for a dance. Of course, it early in their career.
I bet those are some great memories!
On my way to PCB. I remember it going thru B’Ham.
Love that song....
Always sounded like “Called” but apparently it’s “Gold”. I also can’t hear the H in “hit records”. Sounds like “I make it records”.
