For most of us, our computers are the only access to the larger world outside. And we are all running windows 10. Windows 10 auto updates frequently, you can not turn it off.

Careful with the assumptions. Some of us are still running Windows 7.

In my case I'm running Win 7 so I don't have to put up with MSFT periodically issuing a mandatory update that breaks my computer.
