A peaceful negotiation - a mutually agreed divination of the country is NOT succession.
They hate us as much as we hate them... and the differences are irreconcilable...
Both sides would be happier in their own countries.
Except the Left would still hate the rest of us because we merely exist. They thrive on envy and hate. They would continue to blame us for all their ills and promote the idea that their lives can only be improved by destroying us.
Both sides would be happier in their own countries.
But the talk of secession comes up only by the party that has lost its political power. As long as one party believes it can simply impose its will on the other, you'll never have a reason for both sides to agree on the matter.
The problem now is that because we all acknowledge that our third-world voting process can be used against conservatives in perpetuity, there is no reason at all for liberals to agree to even entertain the idea of secession among states (despite the enthusiasm many of them had for it just four years ago).
After the American Revolution, Tories were forced to leave the country because they knew that reconciliation with those who fought against the Crown was simply impossible; many of them ended up in other British Commonwealths, the most popular one being Canada.
Conservatives in this country are in a similar boat, my friend. While there is no America 2.0 on the horizon (or even to be expected in our lifetimes), I suspect many of us would feel more comfortable in a better-integrated country somewhere else, even as that country may lack the freedoms we take for granted.
The Left is never happy. They won't be happy until
everyone is under their heel. Communist Russia was never
happy. They wanted to dominate the planet. Communist
China is not happy. It wants the world too.
