We’ve talked about ending Amazon for a while, and probably will do that tomorrow. The online shopping is so convenient. We considered Walmart but I recall they had done something several months ago that pissed us off. (And then the tweet last week — to Hawley, I think.)
I think I’ve seen a list of right-leaning shopping options. If I can find it, I’ll post a link here in a day or two.
Most don’t/ won’t ship to a freight forwarder or overseas. The ones that do, declare the full customs value (and its 20% or more - sometimes 100%) taxes. Plus it’s $60 to $100 for small items in DHL shipping charges.
Amazon ships for only a cheap fee (about $10 per item) direct the Philippines with no customs hassles.
So if I want American-quality goods, and not cheap Communist Chinese junk, it’s Amazon or nothing. (Even stuff made in China is higher quality if bought in the US)
