Wild conspiracy theory distract from and discredit legitimate complaints.
The Kracken crowd almost singlehandedly sunk the election investigation.
I agree. We needed to focus on what was easily proven. I don’t dismiss out of hand that some strange things might have occurred and frankly, some of these conspiracy theories fit nicely with the data analytics we see such as votes that appear to be taken away or impossible dumps of votes at crazy percentages.
However, there were much more tangible and easily understood things about this election to focus on that did not require incredible stories or massive conspiracies. This should have been the focus and overall, I think the Trump lawyers did eventually try to do this when they separated from Powell (and Wood), but as you say, the damage was done and no court agreed to hear the real case in a timely manner.
Wild conspiracy theory distract from and discredit legitimate complaints.

Bingo!! Even a modicum of investigation easily blows holes in this narrative. What this does is allow the Bye-Done crowd to be dismissive about ALL of the real electoral fraud. Allowing them to brand all fraud as a conspiracy theory because of one shiny thing that can easily be proved to be conspiratorial nonsense is totally harmful.
