Agreed. The unfortunate part is that one lady died and the cop who got hit in the head and died later.
Here’s how this is going to go: this will be all over the airwaves for 2-3 weeks, then the media will move on to the next outrage. You’re best just turning off the TV for a couple weeks. It’s not like anything new is coming out, just more “we condemn blah blah...” that you’ve already heard.
Longer term, the left and the establishment as a whole never expected something like this would happen or was even possible. THAT is why they were so cocky with the “don’t tell people what is a good way to protest” or “looting is okay”, “civility means you’re privileged” etc. They never expected a real counter-action. What keeps civil order is a healthy concern that if you cheat the system, you may suffer a consequence. Consequences happened, in their backyard, the mothership city of the establishment elites.
Again, NOT condoning destruction of property or attacks on people, from any side including the lady who got shot unnecessarily. It’s silly though that I have to repeat this ad nauseum.
That's what I'm doing. And I have deactivated my Facebook account for 7 days.
In military law, there is a doctrine of reprisal. Essentially, if one side decides that they don't feel like following the rules of civilized conflict, then the other side is no longer bound to follow the rules either.
The Left has demonstrated, over and over, that they feel that rules and laws do not apply to them. Yet, they assume that we will continue to be bound by the rules. It may be time to shake that assumption.
