“Great name but eventually the left would infiltrate ... “

That’s where vigilance comes in. The GOP is beyond saving. Besides, doing something is better than doing nothing.

I am with you on that. Primary is the way to go. A new party would be a longer slog and we do not have the time. The longer the LEFT has control, the more likely a MAGA party would be demonized, ostracized and finally criminalized as a criminal organization.

A new party would play into their divide and conquer strategy.

But nothing of this matters. New party or primary. Unless the election fraud is ripped out by the roots.

Your bio says you’re a Tea Partier.

What happened to that?

It’s politics. It’s its own system. Too much is based on two Parties. As I said, I think it forces resolution of the Majority. If you win a place at the table, you still have to caucus with a majority.

I agree it’s as hard to change a Party from within as it will be the formation of Government that you’re trying to affect.

Trump is proof of that. The GOP was so “conservative” that they wouldn’t give up their corruption for a better way.

I left the GOP about 10 years ago. I am a registered Whig. Whigs are very conservative and believe in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and small government; and it’s about 80% veterans.

Should announce this as the Commander in Thief is being sworn in.

I’m down with the new party thing, but...we will never win as long as there are Democrats/uniparty counting votes.

We need to figure out how to cheat better than them.

I understand and sympathize with your thinking.

I am not a big fan, however, of “re-branding”.

If you can’t fix the GOP, you probably can’t get your third party working, either.

I think we’re on the same side. I continue to support Trump. He brought some sanity to the GOP, but in the end we can see, very little.

There are no easy answers.

Yes. Many here do not understand what it takes to run a political operation, let alone form a new party and get it up and running.

This is about the only thing that would provide me a glimmer of hope for the country.

Trump, please start a new party to save the country.

I am on board with giving up on the Republican Party. The entrenched power of the party establishment is too strong. Fighting primary-by-primary entails a few successes and many failures.

But I'd like to see more discussion about whether to start a new party or to move into the existing Constitution Party. It's very minor at this point, having been on the ballot in only 18 states last year. Still, that's an 18-state head start.

The positions on the party's website – http://www.constitutionparty.com/ – seem sound. I don't know much else about the party, though, so I'd welcome other peoples' thoughts.

“so I’d welcome other peoples’ thoughts.”
I’m all for a new party, however at 76 I won’t see it come to reality in my lifetime.

The dumblecrat party stole this election. You do not make nice with them.

The Republican party was born of the old Whigs in 1854. By 1860 they captured the Presidency.

No reason to cling to people who refuse to represent you.

I agree with your other points but Trump tried mightily to reform the government from the inside. He was partially successful.

I fear we do not have any control over the deep seated bureaucrats who run this country...who always seem to find a judge to do their bidding.

But I DO think there are at least 50million pissed off people who will let the pubbies hang.

My vote is for the America First Party.

Says it all and its easy to understand its also in direct opposition to the RNC, DNC, the deep state, big bis, big tech, big media and the chamber of commerce sellouts. Sorry I forgot academia.

This is who we are up against.

“A new party would play into their divide and conquer strategy.”

Just like the current republican party has done. Maybe you don’t realize that the primaries don’t mean anything anymore, no matter who you vote for, the demonrat will win.

That is an absolute must! The Tea Party movement was hijacked by pretenders and rinos. For a while, before dying, the movement became nothing but a money raising vehicle for phony conservatives. No current elected official should be allowed to hold office under the new party’s name. There may be a few exceptions, but let them apply and make their case.

Yes, and a great shame it was, too. Many wonderful, America-loving people trusted in the TEA party only to be turned on and turned out. Textbook grass roots movement, shot to Hell. Many of those who were burned will never trust a party again.
