Actually I am surprised that all of the armed cops in the area didn’t start shooting when the first shot went off. That at least tells you that they were not in fear for their lives.
The police acted professionally and did not dress the same as the shooter. I think they just don’t want to let it be known who the shooter was. Can you immagine the headline “US senator shoots unarmed protester, that simply does not fit the narrative they wish to convey.

He moved about 5 feet closer to window, looked in, saw who it was and have tactical hand signals, then he just moved back to his spot...
The whomevers with rifles were already lining that wall.. and you can bet the first rifle dude radioed that he had shots fired and someone down over his tac mic.
And none of the other police on that wall moved to firm perimeter.
