We can't violate the constitution because we think the other side has. We're bound by that even if it is our downfall. Pence had no legal authority to do anything. Focus your distaste on those that cheated, not those that follow the law.

Seriously. I’ve seen VP Pence accused of all manner of things (including being a homosexual and a pedophile) because he didn’t invent new authority for himself that the US Constitution doesn’t provide. He’s not King Pence. He’s Vice President Pence. And Vice President Pence is bound by Article II Sec 1 of the United States Constitution, no matter how much it pains him to read those votes.
