Nice dream but it will never happen. The powers that be no longer prosecute election laws.
GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY, GIVE US MONEY!
Perhaps you haven't heard that we have a two-tiered judicial system in the Banana Republic - one for the elites, and the other for us peons. They are now among the dem elite and are immune from prosecution - otherwise Madam Hillary Benghazi and ISIS founder Hussein 0bama would already be serving time.
That does not apply to legislation. If it did, republicans would all go to jail for promising tax cuts.
It was simply an unfortunate thing that Trump, having gotten a stimulus bill, signed it and then claimed we should all get $2000. That allowed the house to pass a $2000 bill.
And when McConnell blocked it, it became clear that if you wanted a $2000 check, you had to remove McConnell from the leadership, which meant electing two democrats in Georgia.
Nobody was promised $2000 for voting. They were promised that if enough people voted to put the democrats in office, the senate would pass the $2000 bill, and everybody who qualified would get the additional $1400.
I think the additional $1400 was stupid. But I also think McConnell was stupid for blocking it. His own members wanted to vote for it, at least a good number of them. He had to know it would cost him the senate to block it. He was put in a lousy situation by the whole thing.
But I can think of worse things to do than give people back their own money.
