When Epstein died in Barr’s custody, I criticized Barr for it - and got flamed by Freepers who were still supporting everything he did because he was in Trumps good graces
Sometimes you have to accept that even people you support make mistakes and be willing to acknowledge so
So I hope I don’t get flamed for saying this: Trump made a mistake by calling for people to come to DC for that rally. It always held the potential of leading to violence caused by the left - every other MAGA rally in DC has had that outcome. The media would use that outcome to discredit MAGA. All this would distract from and discredit - or take momentum from - the efforts in Congress to lay out the evidence for the steal. And nothing could be accomplished from a rally. It wouldn’t change a single vote in Congress, quite the opposite it could give Trumps foes the moral high ground of standing up to a mob. ALL THESE DOWNSIDES WERE EASILY FORSEEABLE. I warned about them in posts weeks ago. Trump should not have called for people to come, in fact should have publicly discouraged it
I hope I won’t be flamed for this, but I probably will be flamed like when I criticized Barr for letting Epstein die in his custody.
I can’t agree with you. The “moral high ground” argument no longer works in a time where all you have is main stream propaganda and the left’s mobs taking over the streets. The politicians are all afraid of left wing mobs and they think everyone else will just quietly fall in line so they appease the left hoping for some peace because they’re cowards. Cowards need to be afraid of the majority of people in this country who won’t stand for being ruled like sheep and this is the only way to bring our country back. We don’t have to use violence but that kind of pressure can’t be taken off the table otherwise we’ll be standing there with signs while they are shooting at us.
