I she was standing there with the police next to her. The man took a step forward and shot her and basically into the crowd, where the police were standing. The police stood up and pointed the rifle at him. He knows he screwed up. He will get identified. But likely not prosecuted.

She was 'entering' the Speakers Lobby entrance. The shooter was doing his job, protecting the Congress. She was breaking thru the doors and disregarding common sense.

What was the point of storming Congress? What were the goals?

It was easy for a situation like this to be hijacked by agitators and such.

If he’s a cop he won’t be prosecuted if he was adhering to procedure, but trying to get close enough to a woman already subdued by a bunch of cops to shoot without hitting the cops before zipping off again is not proper procedure in any book. I doubt any cop would do that, I’m betting it was some poly sci major on someone’s staff
