Most countries in Europe surveyed computerized voting around 2008-to-2010, and then wrote laws to prevent their use...even in sheet-reading.
All members of the EU require a national ID card. Most countries in the EU require you to report your new residence within 30 days of moving in, and only by this method can you be registered to vote in the district/city.
No country in Europe reports any issue with dead people voting.

And as I side note, I was a member of a union for decades. It was much tougher to vote in a union election than it was to vote in a governmental election.
To vote in a union election, you had to show ID at the door AND be vouched for by one of the door guys. Just one or the other wasn’t good enough.
