"Dow futures are doing just fine"
Doesn't matter if Biden or Trump wins. Wall street wants more control. It's the small business that are being destroyed.

Not a question of control. Think market share and increased revenues and profits. Big businesses are diversified across geographies. Small businesses are not. Big businesses are better for banks from a cost standpoint. One big loan vs thousands of small ones. Big businesses, especially exchange-listed companies, are audited and inspected routinely by a bunch of government agencies. Small businesses - who knows whether what they’re doing is on the up and up?

As a result, big businesses have better luck getting financing to get them over a rough patch. Small businesses have much less luck doing so. Bottom line - Wall Street doesn’t care if every single small business goes belly-up, since they don’t make Wall Street any money.

If this run of small business bankruptcies goes up, I can see a huge number of small business owners becoming firmly Republican even if they weren’t originally GOP-leaning. They are discovering that voting Democrat can literally mean the loss of your life savings. When you lose everything you’ve worked for, over decades, that leaves a mark. I doubt they’ll ever forget this lesson.
