I used to hear Vin Scully as the announcer of games when the Dodgers played and were at home in LA.
In the early years when the Dodgers were playing at the Coliseum, so many in the stands would be listening to Vin on their transistor radios, that you didn’t need a radio to hear him. My aunt who was a Yankee fan and despised all things Dodgers and L.A. used to say that the L.A. fans were so ignorant of the game they had to have Vin explain it to them.
