Maybe because you don’t want to get sickly even if your chances of survival are 99.7% ? Suffering the symptoms is no fun.
Of course, as risk/reward is calculated at the personal level.
With most testing positive not even having symptoms, the choice for me is simple.
Your chance of death overall at 99.7% is 1/300
A vaccine that is 95% effective at blocking the disease and 99.999% effective of preventing severe disease makes the risk of death closer to 1/30 million
