Don’t apologize. I have been having exactly the sam thoughts. My daughters and I have been exploring the “where would we go” discussion for a while. While I’m in Texas, my oldest is in WA. We have thought about SD, ND, UT. I’m curious to see the thoughts of others on this too.

Horses, chickens, meds, advanced First Aid. Read some EMP OR PANDEMIC SI-FI, gives you a good idea of what to expect. Stay away from Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga areas ..BLUE.

Utah has elected the very dishonorable Willard and the highly questionable Mike Lee.
South Dakota has elected the dishonorable John Thune and the recently self-outed Swamp Denizen Mike Rounds.
North Dakota did get rid of the dishonorable Heidi, so perhaps ND is OK at the moment.
I’m looking for a conservative state to retire to. The Dakotas look good, but I’m not sure about the winters. I’m in northern Indiana now, considering southern Indiana.
