For leftists, it’s not about the money

Because leftists obsess about wealth, conservatives often miss that modern leftists have bigger goals than mere money.

In many ways, the Tony Blair administration helps reveal an important point about how leftists ultimately operate. Blair was very clever to adopt many of the right-wing economic policies of Thatcher, realizing that economics wasn't the major issue; transforming the people and culture was pivotal.

Although leftists are more than happy to carry on with very similar economic policies, their long-term objectives are more in line with something akin to Antonio Gramsci as well as the Frankfurt School’s vision of cultural transformation. Indeed, this thinking has since metastasized throughout much of our corporate world; even if it means they lose money doing it.

Sadly, in response, conservatives have too often fallen into two traps when dealing with this reality. First, as Mark Steyn has put it, they’re too busy chasing after the next election and never think beyond satisfying that objective. Meanwhile, the left is working on longer-term, wholesale cultural transformation.

Second, conservatives erroneously still believe we’re in an earlier, more rational age. This leads them to dismiss leftist corporations for being simply foolhardy when they embrace and incorporate Progressive ideals that operate to their financial detriment.

Examples of this can be found with the stridently anti-male and pro-transgender advertising campaign from Gillette, which cost its parent company billions. Another example is the NBA’s embrace of BLM talking points, which saw its audience crater. And of course, much of what comes out of Hollywood see it increasingly and brazenly pushing every Progressive agenda no matter what the cost may be to its bottom line.

It is about money, indirectly.

But never mind that; for now, it’s about power. With power, they can rid the scene of us, and especially Christianity and the Christian way of life.

After that, the money will keep them in power. Or so they think.

They’ve got another think a-comin’.

For the billionaire set, it is all about their social position and power. They are happy to lose 99% of their fortunes, if it means that those less well off end up losing everything. They will still be well off, but nobody will be able to challenge them socially or move into their neighbourhoods.

Tony Blair is most infamous for expanding the use of postal votes:

1 May 2015: UK Times: Postal vote fraud could cost us key seat, Tories claim
by Faisal Hanif, Dominic Kennedy and John Simpson
Conservatives fear they are going to lose a marginal seat because of a surge of postal voting in an area vulnerable to vote-rigging claims.
Pendle, Lancashire, is one of the seats Labour must take from the Tories to win a majority. The borough is on a blacklist of areas described by the Electoral Commission as having a “greater risk of cases of alleged electoral fraud being reported”.

Tony Blair’s government gave everybody the right to a postal vote but the system is so open to abuse that an investigation by the Council of Europe has declared British elections “childishly simple” to rig...

when BBC actually report on such things:

5 Apr 2005: BBC: Voting scandal mars UK election
By Barnaby Mason
With Britain poised for parliamentary elections next month, a High Court judge has delivered a devastating ruling on the current arrangements for allowing people to vote by post.
He said: “The system is wide open to fraud and any would-be political fraudster knows that.”

Judge Richard Mawrey quashed the results of two local council elections in Birmingham after deciding there had been systematic large-scale vote rigging.
But the implications are wider: it was regarded as a test case for similar complaints in other cities; and record numbers of people have been applying for postal votes in the general election.

He criticised the government’s insistence that the current postal voting system was working.
“Anybody who has sat through the case I have just tried and listened to evidence of electoral fraud that would disgrace a banana republic would find this statement surprising,” he said...

For several weeks, a special election court heard lurid allegations of postal votes being stolen and forged. Six councillors from Tony Blair’s Labour Party denied wrongdoing...
The current problems date from 2001, when the law was changed to make postal voting available to anyone on demand - no reason required.
The government made the change in order to increase turnout at elections, but critics said it was calculated to benefit the Labour Party most.
Since then, there has been an explosive growth in postal voting, especially in inner city areas...

Evidence presented in court indicated it was possible to intercept or forge both the application forms and the postal ballots themselves.
Many ballots had signatures that differed from those on the application.
The forgers were alleged to have applied for postal votes under names taken from the publicly available electoral roll, asking for the ballot papers to be sent to an alternative address or safe house.

The Birmingham Labour leader, Sir Albert Bore, wrote to Mr Blair saying: “At present, in relation to the handling of postal ballot papers, the law is so general that almost anything is legal.”
There is a striking example of that. The ballot papers seized by the police from the warehouse were handed over to election officials, who decided they had no reason to reject them and included them in the count.

The judge commented to the Returning Officer that her function was nil.
“If something seems wrong with the postal ballot papers,” he said, “you have no powers or resources to ferret around to see if the votes are legitimate.”...

I think the Left is moving the narrative, to indoctrinate the youth. It’s still about $$$$$$$/power to the top tier Left, but the gullible kids are getting a stiffy over being uber progressive, so understanding of oddity, accepting of ‘the other’, reveling in ‘all cultures’ are glorious, quest for equality down the memory hole—now a demand for EQUITY. Reality has little to do with this....I think that is where it all falls apart. We are seeing it fall apart now, in our country.

It was Stalin’s wet dream to create a totally communist culture. Throw out all of those antiquated bourgeois ideals about church, family, mother, father, guilt, shame, mercy, etc. There is only the party, even though they don’t bring anything positive into society.

.....conservatives persist in thinking we're still in an "age of rationality" which leads them to
dismiss leftist corporations who embrace Progressive ideals that operate to their financial detriment.

Examples of Progressive corporate stupidity:
<><> the stridently anti-male, pro-transgender Gillette ad campaign which cost its parent company billions.
<><> the NBA’s embrace of BLM talking points, which saw its audience crater and the loss of billions of ad dollars.
<><> Hollywood increasingly and brazenly pushing every Progressive agenda no matter what the cost may be to its bottom line.

Yes,the lefties has better, long term strategy. Mostly indoctrination of the youth. Eroding traditional value.
And yes, they do not care about money, but power. The leftie corporations, they are just useful idiots.
They, the behind the scenes professors, really want society of common share of poverty, where anybody depends on them for everything. The power over life and death. If you do not bow to them, you starve to death.

For leftists, it’s about “most of their opponents dead, the rest in chains”.
