Well, sort of...North Carolina. NC went to Trump but not overwhelmingly. We have our Blue (capital B) areas...mainly large cities...and I’m in Blue Charlotte. Our Dem governor, a Reich Führer Cooper, started reasonably with “suggested” anti-COVID measures, but recently went moderate Gestapo and gave local authorities reign to issue tickets for non-compliance. I will mask up at the local LA Fitness because they will call the cops...I’ll sacrifice because I have a free membership there. Otherwise, I just rolls the dice and takes me chances.
We ARE looking to move to a Red NC county...and there are many. Also, 74 out of 100 counties have recently passed 2A Sanctuary resolutions after seeing what happened in Virginia. That’s encouraging for my view of NC.
I haven’t kept up with COVID tests, sicknesses, deaths or vaccines in this state.
Just following orders of their liberal leaders. Nice to know they are keeeping an eye out for ‘hardened criminals’, that are oddly enough, fully supportive of police being there when needed most.
The line that runs between insanity and common sense is exceedingly thin these days.

Hey AC! What they want you to do is spend YOUR money on legal fees to fight this nonsense, once arrested, fined, etc. I’d ask them to escrow funds for your legal assistance should it be needed. That usually shuts them up!

I think it important to note, that CVS probably did not want to set up a mask mandate for their stores. They were coerced to put one in by the govt, as were all the other places that instituted one.

Well I poised the same question to a practitioner involved with the state’s covid task force. She gave me the percentages of cases in cities with mask mandates going down around 30% and in cities without it was going up quite a bit.
From a personal anecdotal point of view I and my staff have worked since around the middle of April with masks, none have caught the virus at work and we’ve seen plenty of covid positive patients. My daughter is a ER practitioner who has 2 auto-immune diseases. She has seen several Covid positive patients. She is masked and any patient who has Covid symptoms is masked when they come in, she doesn’t even worry about it anymore. I know there is a lot of BS out there, but seriously if mask didn’t work all hospital staff would have been infected by now. Think a little before buying anything you hear. With that said, not all mask are created equal. Cloth mask are probably worthless, NK95’s work.
