The Baltimore Light Rail does NOT go to DC.

From Baltimore, you need to pick up the commuter train from Camden Station (near Stadiums) to go to DC Union Station. Union Station is near Capital 1st street. walk west to 16th street and the Elipse behind the White House where the event on 6th is being held.

Or from Union Station take the Red Line to Metro Center. The Ellipse is about 3 blocks from there.

If you are flying to BWI, there are two public transit alternatives to go to Washington, DC. The first is to take a free shuttle bus which has an electric sign “AMTRAK/MARC”, which will take you to the BWI rail station on the Northeast Corridor rail line. MARC trains run about once per hour and are $7 one way, and terminate at Union Station which is on Capitol Hill about five blocks north of the Capitol. Amtrak trains also stop at BWI; they are $17 and up. The ride is about 35 minutes.

The alternative is to take Metrobus C30 which runs from various stops in front of the BWI terminal to Greenbelt station on the Washington DC Metro. You then take the Green line to the Archives/Navy Memorial station which is at 7th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, about halfway between the Capitol and the White House. The rally is at the Ellipse, which is a park south of the WH and north of the Washington Monument, about 8 blocks west of this station. This trip will probably take 75-90 minutes and have separate fares on the bus and subway totalling about
$10.
