Close to all my family. Ya, I don’t ever remember the Detroit River being clean. We used to go to a restaurant years ago in Luna Pier in the Monroe area. Loved it, tried the frog legs and didn’t like, the turtle soups was amazing, but the brain affect of knowing was never appealing.
I miss being there, but only in the summer.
I grew up in Downriver - fished and ate what we caught in the Detroit River all the time. Another thing that was popular in that area: Muskrat.
