No, I meant why, if he was an American citizen from California, was he speeding to get back IN to the country. He should have had no problem being accepted back in. He looked as if he did not want to be inspected.
He certainly took himself on the last ride of his life!

My guess is impatient SOB. I see people driving on feeder roads at high rates of speed or backing up or going the wrong way on entrance ramps to leave a congested highway.
