Pretty good article from Sundance showing the announcement from Ted Cruz et. al., for what it is - face saving bandwagon jumping. Don’t ever be fooled by Cruz, or his fellow travelers. Cruz will always do the right thing - if political circumstances force him to do so.
Over at TheDonald.Win, the usual suspects are fawning over Cruz. The “he should be a frontrunner in 2024” narrative is very popular over there right now. But ask yourself, where has Cruz been on this issue for the past several weeks? He’s had plenty of time to announce that he would challenge the electoral college votes. Why is it only now that he comes out in favor of doing so? He’s a slickster. We’ll take his help if it’s offered, but it’s a fair bet that if he’s offering it, it’s not really needed anymore.
The only reason Cruz and his cohorts are jumping on board now is because they see which way this is headed - with them or without them. Better to get on the right side now and pretend you were leading the charge.
That's why we need to keep calling and e-mailing the politicians (state legislators and Congress critters) to keep the pressure on!
You are correct that Cruz is moving because he feels the ground moving, and that’s Cruz. It is also a good sign the ground IS moving.
So, I’m feeling positive about this development.
And he is not eligible to be president and he knows it. Lied about his citizenship when running before.
Whatever you think of Cruz remember that Texas other senator, recently reelected Cornyn, is NOT on that list. If anyone should see where this is going it should be that one in leadership. I will take Cruz every dang day over the rest of those sops who did not sign on to make this move. Cruz and Cornyn are my senators. Happy with one, disgusted with the other.
