I lost my mother to Alzheimer’s fifteen years ago this month. I worked in three nursing homes over the years. Got to know a lot of the old folks. It was always on one hand rewarding and on the other very sad.

Short term memory always suffers in an Alzheimer’s patient. The frontal lobe is almost always ravaged and that’s where short term memory originates. You can tell an Alzheimer’s patient something, ten times over and five or ten seconds later it’s gone.
But long term memory tends to hang in there. It’s like a movie projector in the back of the patients mind that keeps showing the same film over and over only it’s out of sync.

Biden always talks about stories his father or grand father told him growing up and much more rareley current issues. Veery telling IMHO.
