I’ve never figured out how the Government just assumes people have the same bank accounts as they’ve always had when they last filed taxes, unless they’re tracking that private info too.

Every bank’s policy is different. My Texas bank seems to post things before the fact sometimes. LOL. Maybe they just offer an advance on the deposit in anticipation of the money hitting the account. Anyway it’s a nice bank to be with.

I haven’t been eligible for any of the stimulus checks - the government has decided I make too much to get any of my taxes back. If the government were ever kind enough to return $600 of the money I earned and they took from me, I’d stock up on 9mm ammo.
Electronically deposits fast, earlier, This is Friday New Years day, no one at a bank works today. Everyone on Medicare, Military pension or other electronic deposited pensions, IRS filers are Electronic. Quick a few keystrokes.
My GF had hers deposited but not available until Jan. 4th, the day it becomes in effect.
Typically transactions don't officially take place until the first business day of the week.
I got mine via direct deposit today and my on line banking shows it pending....
Crumbs ... exactly. I got a whopping $144. I wonder how much Pakistanis got?
