Thirty or so years ago I was looking at the want ads — in Massachusetts, I think — and some company was advertising for “Pirogi Pinchers”. It’s an actual job. It struck me funny, but I guess somebody has to do it.
1964... I was scanning the want ads for a summer job...came across one, in the middle of the tiny type, that had in a bold larger font,
closer reading revealed the car dealer need boys to polish their cars, not young male Poles....
