Every single professional league blew a great opportunity.
They could have said that during this hard time for Americans, they are going to do their best to entertain people and help get their minds off of their problems.
They will stay out of politics, polarization and controversy of any kind.
Sports televisions packages that they charge for they could have made available to all for free.
They could have made a statement that they realize they are not essential, that they are entertainment, but they are going to do what they can to help people out.
Americans would have never forgotten it. Their ratings would have soared.
They were going to lose money no matter what, but they would have made it back many times over in the years to come.
But, they couldn’t do that, because they just think way too damn much of themselves.
The golden age of professional sports in this country has passed. The younger generations are not interested, and I can no longer support people of such low character in any way.
Younger generations have more options to be entertained. A lot of stuff on YouTube. Professional sports will never be that popular on tv again. ESPN will still be around but it will be 1/10 of what it used to be.
I went back and read a number of old threads on all kinds of subjects.
Believe me, we are not in charge of anything.
