I mean, what would you rather have then? This site every day is literally “sigh.... it’s over, it was over months ago, it was over years ago and there’s nothing we can do about it.” This website suffers from a daily existential crisis. It is not beneficial to anyone, in fact I think at least half of freerepublic.com is overjoyed whenever something bad happens so that they can post on every thread how they “knew it was going to happen all along” and basically shove it in everyone’s face.

The Donald.win is a younger crowd. More energy, more optimism, more anger. Yes you will see disagreements, and cursing, and not everyone will have EXACTLY the same opinion as you. How do you think the American Revolution was won? I can assure you it wasn’t with the low energy attitude I’ve been seeing around here, even before Election Day! We need people to be fired up! We need people to be PISSED! And you need to grow some thicker skin.

I’m still new there and getting to grips with it.

I understand its not meant for deeper political discussion like this place but if people are rude to newbies then it just puts more people off!

Well said. I’m over there a lot and one of the things I like is their energy and enthusiasm. I’ve been here under three different handles since the 90s and FR has changed. Freepers have gotten older and more cantankerous, and the constant drumbeat of “all is lost” is demoralizing and infuriating. All is not lost, all is never lost, and I’m sure glad the Founding Fathers didn’t declare defeat before the battle got going like the majority here.
