Matt's talking about what to expect -- large crowds, no portajohns, uncooperative DC officials, etc. -- must hear, for those attending next week!

I doubt there will be no Porta-Pottys if this is organized by a central organization. I was the lead coordinator years ago for the Free Republic "March for Justice". Besides coordinating all the various aspects of such an event so as to work together, I was also directly responsible for logistics of the event that included Porta-Potty numbers/costs and setup. I made that happen via phone even though living in California. It's simple do do.

Beside being the central contact as overall coordinator for the 4 other original department heads, so to speak, I was also responsible for professional security (private military company), medical backup, crowd security patrols, radio comms between certain heads of certain operations, stage position and buildup, and walking the operation/crowd.

Although I can't make the Jan. 6 rally, much can be handled via phone with the vendors and others. I still have the folders of what is needed for large events and will offer my time and phone costs.

BTW, the MFJ had four other Freepers who handled assigned specific duties successfully. Their handles were: Clinton's a Liar (speakers); Joy in DC (permits); Jolly (associate duties); BobJ who was in charge of the after event (forgot building name) with more speakers. BobJ not only organized that after March gathering and fed them from his own Pizza franchise, but along with me, he also put up his own funds to finance. I'd have to look through my folders to itemize each of the original 5 assigned duties.

Also, have a 2 page list of volunteers who came from all over the Country and patiently waited for their assigned positions as the line reached out the room and down the hallway. Unfortunately, we had to turn many away. Not a one complained about their assignments/duties, or missing out to contribute.

Only two problems came about: 1. Had to chase off private vendors in the crowd. 2. A young man was caught with a large knife next to the stage and VIP lounge. Security escorted hims off the permitted grounds.

Beside my 11 years Navy, it was the best thing I've ever done for our Republic. Sorry for the long story, just letting any official organizers on Jan. 6. that I'm available to assist. Got contact?

I attended the FR rally in DC back in 1999. Flew in from Los Angeles to be there. It was a great time!

I do not have any "inside" contacts for next week's Protest on 1/6, sorry. But there are people with money organizing it, so I think the event planning is probably under control.... The only variable of concern is Leftist nuttiness - terrorist acts, etc. In other words the Deep State - DC itself - screwing up the Rally's works....

If any hostile acts occur against Trump supporters next week that will only serve to make POTUS Trump a MORE sympathetic figure!

If you're talking about the March For Justice, that was October, 1998. If so, thank you for attending.

"If any hostile acts occur against Trump supporters next week that will only serve to make POTUS Trump a MORE sympathetic figure!"

I wonder since there will be so many Patriots there. Likely that some altercations will occur. Hope they get their ass beat like the recent Patriot did as he punched down on the guy who came out of his car and pushed him around. It is time to physically FIGHT back. Fuck those punks who think they can get away with anything. Break noses, blacken eyes, maybe a jaw or some bones when they first attack. If I wasn't 70, I be right in the middle of it.

“No food.”
~~~~~~~~
Tinned sardines, hardtack, & apples will do just fine.
Cheap and very portable.
I heard the Proud boys are going to be in different places throughout the crowd, in case the commies start.
I don't care about Trump being a "sympathetic figure." If the BLM/Antifa/anarchists show and physically attack, I say time to bust heads. I seriously want to see some bloodied, broken jaws. They need the lesson that conservatives are not pussies. Just hope no shooting starts. However, think rooftops and marksmen/snipers with scopes against the arsonists.
I'm not advocating the above and don't want to see it happen, but these indoctrinated school punks and BLM Inc. need a lesson. They need to try us!
And no, I'm not a keyboard commando. Once it hits my area, I have affirmed many times I will walk point for those warriors behind me. I would be glad to die in the defense of my Republic.
With the Communists in controlled, I will gladly take the shot.
........................................
Not bragging, but I’m 79 and that’s where I will be on 1/6, right in the middle of it. I’ve rented a room for 1/5-1/7 and will take a 3-1/2 hr train ride to get there. If you watching it on TV and see an old dude waving a 3’x5’ Sons of Liberty flag, that will be me!
On the other hand, for most people simply fasting for 48 hours would probably be to their advantage. It will be for me!
I attended the March for Justice...along with my husband and three young sons. You all did a great job organizing it! I remember it well. I met CAL, and some of the others you mentioned. It was an awesome time.
Lest we forget……. The March for Justice October 31, 1998
For weeks ahead of the date, folks like me had to decide……. Do I really believe all this stuff we discuss daily on Free Republic? Should I scrounge up some money and set aside the time to travel to Washington DC to be a part of what is being called The March For Justice? The Answer is Yes!
There was to be a march with State flags. I bought a Tennessee state flag to wave in the gathering. To my astonishment, as I waved the flag, several Tennesseans in the crowd rallied to the flag and zap…..we had a Tennessee delegation present on the field.
There were lots of great speeches and general feeling of well being as we celebrated on the Mall in the literal shadow of the Washington Monument. What we said in our posts lacked an identity, but that day, we came together with more or less one very proud voice. The crowd faced the White House and in that one very loud voice shouted Impeach, Impeach, Impeach.
The night before, across from the infamous Water Gate complex, we took over the hotel. There were small groups and knots of people in every nook and cranny, on the stairs, in the conference rooms we just appropriated by strength of numbers. There were whoops of glee and recognition as we met and put a face to someone we actually knew well but had never seen. There was awe as Matt Drudge showed up and worked the crowd. A woman named Goldberg {Lucianne Goldberg, and Jonah too. Ann Coulter, Gary Aldrich, Larry Klayman, LD Brown, Joyce Smith, Bob Barr, too. } showed up also. I didn’t know her but she made a big impact. She called us Freepers. The name stuck to this day. There were several selling stuff to finance their trip. There was a table selling authentic March For Justice stuff to finance proceedings. My poster purchased at that table still hangs in my office. That gathering twenty years ago on the evening before Halloween changed my life. I knew that I must pay attention to try to be a better, active citizen.
It was apparent that rather than walk the long distance from the Parking lot to suicide, the body had been driven up a weed clogged road and carried a hundred yards or less and deposited in the park. Also of note, as we traversed through Fort Marcy Park, we noticed yellow post it notes stuck here and there. They had been left by other FReepers who made the visit around midnight the night before. I still have all those sticky notes.
That was twenty years ago today……… what a fantastic day it was
Connie Hair - Clinton’s A Liar was instrumental in the event. After it was over she insisted that we leave no trash behind, even if it wasn’t our trash... cigarettes, gum wrappers, etc. The place was spotless before we left. Jim Rob and son Chris was there. It was great.
"Connie Hair - Clinton’s A Liar was instrumental in the event."
Yes, she was. Her main job was lining up the speakers (very important). CAL also took over Master of Ceremony duties after some known pundit candidates we wanted couldn't make it. She did a fine job on stage announcing the next speaker while arousing the crowd in-between.
All 5 of us original organizers did our duties professionally and successfully. ALL the other volunteers were exceptional, no matter their assignments. As I was actually running sometimes around the grounds/setup to ensure things were happening to specs, I looked in on the Hospitality Tent once. I found no need to go their again. Folks, told me how professional they were and it let me concentrate on other unfolding situations.
BTW, as someone mentioned above about the Flag parade, I was so busy that I ask a small young woman (Jolly) if she could pull it together. She looked at me like WHAT? and then made the opening procession a success. I knew she could do it and took quite a load off me. Just think of her having to organize a bunch of out State big burly guys wanting certain positions.
The 5 original organizers were; A Navy Vet; Clinton's a Liar, Joy in DC, Jolly, and BobJ. We had a conference phone call at Connie Hair's house with JimRob and other political pundits. Once JimRob announced he was going to DC to confront Clinton and hung up, it was a go.
After the conference call, I asked who is going to lead this effort, be a central point of contact, and oversee all aspects. No one stepped forward not having the experience for such a large national effort.
As a Navy team leader, I volunteered and voted in as Overall Coordinator. From then on it was phone calls day and night how my department heads were doing, not to mention other logistical phone calls to DC. I have a 2 folders documenting every call, suggestions, volunteers, etc. There were times I wished I kept my mouth shut at that meeting at Connie's house. But then, it probably wouldn't have happened since it needed an experienced leader.
Then there was the Mojo conflict who had movie production setup experience and recommended by CAL (still don't know why). Everything was in process and on schedule until he decided to set up the stage in an un-permitted area. I had to tell him to back off and moved the stage to our permit area. He and CAL never saw eye to eye with me again.
The controlling little prick showed up early morning before I was to meet with the stage people (he claimed I was late while having breakfast - I wasn't & have the appointment papers on file). Wearing his pussy blue framed glasses and wanted to push his Hollywood weight around and take over the entire event, we almost went to blows, after all weeks of hard work, stress, financial backing, etc. I put in for the March. I politely told him if he wants to contribute, good. Also said, I've got it under control, but if you want control, we'll settle it outside. He back the Frig off, being the Hollywood pussy type.
The above is stuff most people never knew that happened behind the scenes. I've got more.
NO, it wasn't Connie Hair who made the cleanup happen. She asked for us to do it on the PA (good), but it was I and BobJ who lead the cleanup. I clearly remember BobJ and and others picking up the trash. Connie was elsewhere, as she always is.
Want to hear my first encounter with Connie Hair regarding the close Naval Station in Long Beach?
Then I have Connie Hair jumping into the Illegal Immigration situation with one of the founders I worked with. He was not impressed as I worked in his own home to help with his computer listings. Guess who didn't go down to Tombstone to support the true MinuteMen?
