Talk radio star Mark Levin told his social media audiences that he would be leaving Facebook.
“Please follow me at Parler as I will leave Facebook in 4 days for continuingly censoring me,” Levin said to his social media followers on Dec. 28. Levin then sent out a second post the following day indicating to his followers that he would be leaving the platform “in a matter of hours.” He called Facebook “corrupt.”
The announcements came after Levin had already hinted at boycotting the social media giant. Since October Levin received three notifications from Facebook indicating his page had been given “reduced distribution and other restrictions,” which has crescendoed in him announcing his departure.
“I've been restricted and censored on Facebook. Please make sure you transition to Parler ASAP as I will be leaving Facebook probably by the end of the year,” Levin said on Nov. 18.
“Parler is a wonderful alternative and is growing, and we need you there ASAP. It believes in truly open speech,” Levin told his followers. “Over 4.2 million of you are following me on Parler now. It can’t be that hard to sign on. I hope the rest of you folks will join us.”
The conservative media star said he would remain on Twitter, as it has not yet censored or interfered with his posts. Although he remained wary it could still happen. “I’m not confident it won’t happen. We shall see. But do come join us at Parler.”
He should come to Free Republic. He has an account. He hasn’t posted for years.

Parler is not akin to Facebook. It’s more like Twitter. I find it’s also not very user friendly.

Someone just posted here today parler banned them posting.
Nowhere apparently is a panacea. Unless you own it.
I think he prefers typing away there because he knows he wont be censored.

I have it on my phone but rarely login. I prefer twitter for now..

I get that. I’ve been suspended and censored on both Facebook and Twitter. However, I’ve probably been censored here even more. I’m hoping for Trump to end the 230 rule.
I try to avoid arguments on twitter.. never had a prob.
I don’t like facebook/insta- doesn’t interest me even though everyone uses them!
Mark probably thinks there are too many ‘kooks’ here to stick around. Shame. FR is great!
It’s Hannity that named Levin “the Great One.” I’ve never heard Levin refer to himself that way and I frequently watch his show.
We don’t really have a CCP-free version of FB.

I don’t argue on twitter. I got suspended for my rather pointed reply to a tweet by Wolf Blitzer where he fawned over Dr Fauci. Twitter suspended me until I took my post down. Only a 24 hr ban as it turned out. Two subjects that are a sore spot to both Twitter and Facebook are opposing opinions on covid and questioning the outcome of the election. They HATE Truth.
I only follow a few liberal accounts and may unfollow them soon. i.e Jake Tapper. He is annoying.
