I know several people that say they are going to not affiliate with any political party, with one of the reasons a hopeful end to the unrelenting political junk mail.
I’ve managed to duck the GOP but the wife hasn’t. It’s a total beg-a-thon and anti-Trump sermon 100 times a day; emails, texts, phone.
I could see that actually having the opposite effect.
Now both parties see them as potential money trees and actively recruit them join up.
Here in Alabama we don’t register with political parties. On primary election day, you simply ask for a demonrat or GOP ballot.
And I get swamped with spam and junk mail from both sides.
