This business of saying, well, Washington owned slaves, so his historic legacy is not worthy of honor, is absurd to me. Ditto that Jefferson owned slaves, so he’s got to go.
Eventually, carried to the extreme, nobody from history will be worthy of honor. These extremists will find something wrong with everyone, and thus, exclude them from any place of honor.
