Most Americans have responsibilities that make bucking the system a very dicey proposition. If we were all single and either had big bank accounts or wilderness living skills we could march on Washington and stay there until something changes.

However, we have people that depend on us and we have many years ahead of us and need to work to prepare for retirement, etc.

There were many instances in the past, many Rubicons, where the American people did not rise up in sufficient numbers to fight the fraud. Why would you expect that the American people would rise up against COVID?

The American people have mostly been lied to for decades. So many otherwise good Americans actually believe they are doing the right thing by following Fauci's everchanging edicts or castigating Trump for not conceding the election to Biden. Some don't even know that Biden is senile.

What we lack is leadership. Republicans are not conservatives. We have had Republican leadership, but not conservative leadership. If we had true conservative leadership then Americans would have had people to galvanize their efforts around and fight back against the liberals and "progressives".

As conservatives our biggest weakness is that we believe that we must always fight within the system to attempt to take our country back. This is why even someone like Trump was unable to turn back the liberal nonsense: he followed the law and worked within the system which fought him at every turn. When Obama passed executive orders they were followed immediately and never successfully challenged. When Trump passed executive orders they were immediately put on hold and challenged. The only SCOTUS rulings that could even vaguely be classified as pro-conservative are ones that in actuality were pro-business.

We tried the leaderless route with The Tea Party but that got infiltrated by libertarians, social conservatives, opportunists, and turncoats. The populist route that Trump is now treading was trodden before by H. Ross Perot, but that died when he was no longer its figurehead. I imagine that the current populist wave will peter out if/when Trump retires or goes back to focusing on real estate development.

There are stirrings by some very conservative groups who want to take America back, but a lot of folks on FR have already labeled those groups as beyond the fringe. But this is exactly how those who oppose masks, lockdowns, etc. are treated by so-called conservatives on FR and the so-called conservative movement.

These conservative groups believe that rather than fighting the libtards we need to first go after "Conservatism, Inc.", i.e. the false leadership that has been doing nothing to fight against the progressivist trend that has led to the current tyranny.

The only escape route is via secession.
