This was a FU not just to President Trump but, to the 74+ MILLION people who voted for him.

With all respect, President Trump's veto was a big FU to all uniformed servicemembers who would have lost their annual cost-of-living raise.

BS. They would still get the raise in the revision and not miss a paycheck. I went through a couple of these while I was in.

The defeat of that particular defense bill does not mean that a defense bill would not be passed.

They would not have “lost” it. It would merely be delayed. Not the first time. It’s happened many times before.
I can assure you, most service members are not waiting anxiously, hoping beyond hope for the 1.6% COLA raise. I am Retired Military. 28 years. And, the 1.3% Retiree COLA will have no effect on my life whatsoever. I am active in the military community here in the Tampa Bay area.
